Brazilian Soccer Player, Tobi, Does Moonwalk to Protest Yellow Card (Video)

There are plenty of ways for athletes to let a referee know that he or she blew a call. One way is to show up the official in question.

Tobi, a defender for Brazilian club Sport Recife, made a rough tackle on an opponent Tuesday. When the referee called him over to face the music, the incredulous defender danced to it.

The referee ordered Tobi to turn around and show his number (so he could write it in the book). But the veteran refused because he undoubtedly knew what was coming. After some negotiation, he he finally turned his back and approached the referee.

He used the moonwalk — the dance that Michael Jackson made famous in the 1980s. That he did it on grass wearing cleats is simply amazing.

The incident took place in the first leg of the Campeonato Pernambucano (the state championship) final. The yellow card ruled Tobi out of the second leg, and he blamed the referee for his misfortune.

Perhaps he should have a talk with the man in the mirror, and ask him to change his ways.
