Bruins' 1-0 Win Over Lightning, Red Wings' 1950 Stanley Cup Clincher Among Top Game 7s in NHL HistoryThere’s nothing better in sports than the seventh game of an NHL playoff series. The intensity and anxiety created when both teams are facing elimination is unsurpassed.

That point was driven home with three thrilling Game 7s in the opening round this year.

All three were decided by a single goal, with the Rangers squeaking by eighth-seeded Ottawa in regulation, Washington needing overtime to get past the defending Cup champion Bruins and the Devils going to double-overtime to dispatch the Panthers.

The second round appeared like it would deprive fans of such drama with three of the series ending in five games or less and the Rangers having a chance to close out the Capitals in six. That game may earn a spot in the annals of great playoff moments, but while fans around the NHL wait anxiously for that showdown, here is a look at some of the most memorable seventh games already in the books with the Top 10 Game 7s in NHL History.
