Daniel Bard stumbled out of the gate on Friday night in Philadelphia. He walked three of the first four batters he faced, which represents a reoccurring problem for the young right-hander.
Bard has consistently struggled with his control this season, and he's actually walked more batters than he's struck out. That's something the righty understands needs to change in order for him to develop into a big-time starting pitcher.
