Mariano Rivera Vows to Return, Saying ‘I’m Not Going Out Like This’

Mariano Rivera isn't done just yet.

The Yankees closer tore his ACL shagging fly balls in the outfield before Thursday night's game in Kansas City, but he has vowed to return to the big leagues. He's not letting this injury end his career.

"I'm coming back," River told reporters in New York. "Write it down in big letters. I'm not going out like this."

That's good news for fans of baseball, since arguably the greatest closer of all time deserves a chance to leave the game on his own terms, not because of an injury.
