Former NFL linebacker Junior Seau has been found dead at his home in Oceanside, Calif., according to TMZ.
Police are investigating a shooting, and it’s believed that Seau shot himself, a law enforcement source reportedly told TMZ.
Acccording to TMZ, sources indicate that Seau sent text messages to his ex-wife and three kids on Tuesday, saying, “Love you,” although they didn’t suspect anything was wrong.

The North County Times reports that Seau’s body was discovered by a housekeeper.
Seau, who played for the New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins and San Diego Chargers during his NFL career, was 43 years old. He leaves behind three kids and an ex-wife.
Seau was a 12-time Pro Bowler and a six-time First-Team All-Pro in his career, which spanned 20 seasons.
