When Joel Peralta was ejected from Tuesday night’s game for having pine tar in his glove, he was cheating. Plain and simple. However, we doubt that if Peralta was headed to Hall of Fame, his eligibility would be called into question due to the incident.

If he had tested positive for steroids, however, the conversation would have gone very differently.
