Gregor Blanco provided that play on Wednesday, making a fantastic diving grab in the seventh inning to help preserve Matt Cain‘s perfect game.
Blanco showed amazing range, traveling all the way back to the warning track in center field to track down a flyball. The play drew a tip of the cap from Cain, who eventually completed one of the most impressive pitching performances in major league history.
That performance would not have been so perfect, however, without a little help from Blanco.
