Netherlands’ Beautiful Fans Leave Orange Crushes at Euro 2012 (Photos)

As part of our coverage of the 2012 UEFA European Championships, NESN.com will showcase fans from participating countries.

The Netherlands entered Euro 2012 as one of the favorites to win the tournament. Their stay in Eastern Europe lasted a little over a week, as they lost all three games in the group stage.

A lack of sharpness, infighting and a number of other problems led to the Dutch demise. The post-mortem has only just started, but the facts are clear: this was the Netherlands’ worst performance at a major tournament in its storied history.

It wasn’t all bad for the Dutch. Their orange-clad fans represented themselves well. They added walls of color and sound to Euro 2012, making for a spectacle before, during and after every game. Instead of letting the Dutch guys have all the fun in Ukraine, a number of pretty women also travelled to take in the Euro 2012 experience. The Dutch players may not matched their own high standards, but the Dutch fans sure did.

We’ve compiled some photos for your enjoyment. You can also enjoy pictures of other countries’ fans in our round-up of Euro 2012 fan photo galleries.
