The game, part of the historic ballpark's 100th anniversary celebration, is not the first "soccer" game to be played at Fenway — 18 games have been played there since 80,000 fans turned up to see the New York Yankees of the American Soccer League beat Celtic 4-3 in 1931 — and while there may not be as much riding on this game as when the two teams met in the final of the 1984 European Cup, fans will still be desperate to see their team emerge victorious.
