Red Sox Continue Dubious Trend, Fail to Take Advantage of Men on Base (Video)

It’s been the story of the entire West Coast road trip.

It might be tempting to blame some very solid opposing pitching and cavernous ballparks, but, quite frankly, the Red Sox have had their chances with men on base. However, the Sox have failed time and time again to come up with the big hit to break a game open or make it close, and again that was their fate on Tuesday as Boston suffered its third walk off loss of the trip.

Jon Lester certainly did his job in 6 2/3 innings of four-hit ball but in an unfortunate change of pace, the Sox bullpen couldn’t hold on to a lead.

Watch the video above for Don Orsillo and Jerry Remy‘s breakdown of the heartbreaking evening.
