Red Sox Following in Footsteps of 2004 Championship Team Despite Slow Start (Video)

Don’t look now, but the Red Sox are in pretty decent shape for a stretch run, all things considered.

Despite the team’s disatrous start and all of the drama that’s been swirling around the team since Opening Day, despite the plethora of injuries ravaging the team and the countless setbacks they’ve overcome, the team enters the midpoint of the 2012 season very much in contention for a postseason spot.

NESN Nation’s Dan Duquette took a closer look at this year’s squad and sees one key ingredient missing from this team when trying to replicate the 2004 World Series championship recipe. The good news is, the Sox still have 81 games to try and find it.
