New England has signed veteran defensive lineman and Milton, Mass., native Tim Bulman, according to NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk.
Bulman, who is a Boston College product, has played parts of four seasons with the Texans and one with the Cardinals. He registered a career-high four sacks with Houston in 2008, but he's only had two starts in his NFL career.
The 29-year-old has played in both the 3-4 and 4-3, although it's unclear what role — if any — he'll have with the Patriots down the line.
