It had been about a month and-a-half since the last time Jon Lester earned a “W” for the Red Sox. Not that the lefty has the luxury of thinking about personal stats at this point.
After his first win since June 27, Lester admitted that lately his mindset had been a little more simple — just keep his team in the game, limit the damage and give his teammates a chance to win. Watch the video above to hear a very relieved Lester talk about his struggles and successes after his first win in oh so long.
