Dustin Pedroia’s Second Half Performance Has Been One of Few Bright Spots in Red Sox’ Tailspin

The Red Sox' season will almost certainly be over in two and a half weeks. With the way things have gone this season, that will be a merciful end.

This certainly isn't the way things were drawn up, with the 2012 campaign somehow reaching lower points than the collapse of '11.

However, if there is one positive, it's been the play of Dustin Pedroia, especially since the All-Star break. Since returning from the disabled list on July 19, Pedroia has hit .3365 with nine home runs and 27 RBIs. In the process, he collected hit No. 1,000 and RBI No. 400 of his career.
