It's amazing what winning can do.
Broncos wide receiver Eric Decker looked like a huge goat Monday when he tripped over his own feet with a clear path to the end zone. But after Denver came roaring back to snatch victory away from the jaws of defeat, the clumsy wideout was able to laugh off the embarrassing play.
Decker issued the following tweet shortly after Monday night's victory over the Chargers.
If yall didn't see, they had trip wire out there tonight. I reported it to the NFL so an investigation is pending. #humblingmoment

There's no telling whether Decker would have responded in the same manner had the Broncos ended up losing the game. After all, at the time of the play, it looked very costly, as it represented a 14-point swing. Not only would Decker have cut into San Diego's 10-0 lead with a TD, but the Chargers wouldn't have had the opportunity to intercept Peyton Manning's next pass and run it back for a score.
Fortunately for Decker, the Manning-led Broncos showed plenty of poise, and it's now Philip Rivers and Norv Turner who can be considered Monday's goats.
