Thursday would've been opening night in the NHL if it weren't for the lockout. Instead, fans got to watch their favorite stars play overseas or not at all.

Although the owners and the NHLPA have been meeting frequently as of late, there has been little to no progress made on the major issues at hand for a new collective bargaining agreement. What's even worse is that there are bound to be more cancelations relatively soon, especially if progress isn't made quickly.
