Jay-Z may not have a huge stake in the Brooklyn Nets, but it's his name that's often been mentioned as the franchise looks to rebrand itself for future success in a new home.
The part-owner was on hand Saturday night as the Nets played their home opener at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Jay-Z and his wife, Beyonce, were among the 17,732 who came out to celebrate the team's arrival. The Nets beat the Raptors 107-100 as the borough and its fans continued to recover from Hurricane Sandy and took a night off from worrying about the storm's damage.
