Alex Rodriguez’s Hip Surgery Could Force Yankees Into Making Moves to Shore Up Injury-Plagued Infield (Video)

Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman confirmed at MLB’s winter meetings that third baseman Alex Rodriguez needs hip surgery and will be out four to six months. That injury comes in addition to shortstop Derek Jeter‘s ankle problems, which might hamper him at the start of the 2013 season.

Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News thinks that the Yankees need to look outside of the organization to fill in their suddenly gaping hole, while ESPN’s Tim Kurkjian thinks New York’s problems will make the winter meetings rather interesting for the Bronx Bombers.

Check out the video above from Monday’s NESN Daily to hear what everyone’s saying about the impact of A-Rod’s injury.
