The Patriots are familiar opponents to the Baltimore Ravens, these two teams having met on this exact stage last year and again in Week 3 of this season. Ravens nose tackle Haloti Ngata wouldn’t want it any other way.
“I think we personally kind of wanted to play the Patriots again,” Ngata said. “If we were to go to the Super Bowl, it would be great to go through Foxboro and win there.”
The Ravens knocked off New England in Baltimore in the teams’ first meeting earlier this season but lost at Gillette Stadium in last year’s AFC Championship Game. Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh said that while these squads have plenty of experience playing against each other, a lot has changed over the past four months.
“There’s a lot of familiarity there,” Harbaugh said. “We have a lot of tape against them, I’m sure those will be integral study games for both teams. But teams evolve, teams change. You have to take that into account, as well.”
