Tom Brady Has ‘No Idea’ Why He Does Fashion Shoots, Much Prefers to Be Patriots’ Quarterback

Tom BradyFOXBORO, Mass. — Tom Brady is something of an icon, even beyond the world of sports. The problem with that icon status, however, is that it isn’t always such a good thing.

During his weekly news conference leading up to Sunday’s AFC Championship Game, Brady fielded questions from the media on a variety of topics, including that of his off-field life.

Brady is known for his unique fashion sense and has been known to appear in a slew of strange ad campaigns, including wearing a dog collar in a VMAN shoot as well as his ongoing sponsorship with UGG. But when broached with the subject during the media circus that is AFC Championship week, Brady didn’t seem interested in answering questions about his fashion choices.

“I have no idea. No idea,” Brady said reluctantly when asked of his ventures into the fashion space. “Extra free time on my hands, I guess. Thank you.”

The Patriots’ quarterback has much more to worry about this week than his off-field activities, and he was sure to emphasize that his No. 1 priority remains with the success of his team.

“I really just love playing football. A lot of my time and energy is spent focused on trying to help this team win and trying to be a good teammate and a good leader,” Brady said. “I just try to live my life and certainly enjoy being the quarterback to this team. There’s certainly nothing more fun than running out onto the field with 70,000 loud people cheering for us.”

Brady’s responses should come as no surprise to Patriots fans, as that sort of team-first approach has become part of No. 12’s persona since he first took the reins as the franchise quarterback in 2001. He completely emulates the meaning of the “Patriot Way,” and that’s the case on or off the field.
