Sir Alex Ferguson Says Manchester United-Real Madrid Is ‘Biggest Game You Can Get’ In Champions League

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson declared that Wednesday’s game against Real Madrid in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 will be a “fantastic show” — better than a clash between his team and FC Barcelona.

“It will be a fantastic spectacle between two of the biggest clubs in the world. I think this game can be better than a United-Barcelona,” Ferguson said in an interview with the English club magazine that manages Europa Press.

Ferguson said because of the “honor” and the history of both clubs there cannot be a “most important” game in the Champions League.

“United and Madrid have a romance between them and due to their honor and their appeal to the world, it can be the biggest game you can get in Champions League,” he said.
