Bruins Showing Cracks in Defensive Armor As Penalty Kill Dominance Begins to Fade (Video)

The Bruins have always been a defensive-minded team, so it came as little surprise that the team’s penalty kill unit was the best in the league. However, recent times have seen Boston’s dominance with a man down coming back down to Earth.

Montreal scored on the power play Sunday, continuing a downward trend for the previously sterling Boston defense. While the Bruins’ own power-play struggles have been documented breathlessly this season (and for a couple of years now), the focus might soon be shifting to the other special teams unit.

NESN Nation’s Dan Duquette isn’t worried, but it might be time to stop thinking the Bruins are invincible. See more in the above video.
