The Bruins’ top line of Milan Lucic, David Krejci and Nathan Horton beat up the Capitals on the ice and on the scoreboard Saturday afternoon.

Not only did the first line account for Boston’s first two goals in a 4-1 win over Washington, the trio also set the tempo for the rest of the B’s roster with a sense of urgency and physicality that had been absent late in games recently. Horton epitomized that mentality, recording the first Gordie Howe hat trick (goal, assist and fight) of his career.
