Bruins Players Give Shirts Off Their Backs to Boston Marathon First Responders After Draining Week (Video)

The city of Boston had a trying week, and the Bruins did what they could to bring a smile to sports fans in the area.

The B’s got their first win in five games, and took part in the annual “Shirts Off Their Backs” tradition after the game. Typically, the players would take off their game jerseys and give them to select season ticketholders, but in light of the week’s events, those ticketholders requested that the jerseys be given to first responders and participants from this year’s Boston Marathon.

Check out the video above to hear Gregory Campbell talk about the event.
