Jaromir Jagr’s Inspired Play Not Enough to Prevent Latest Episode of ‘Home Stretch Heartbreak’ for Bruins (Video)

Eventually, the Bruins will clinch a playoff spot. That it hasn’t come in their last two games, however, is a bit of a worrisome trend.

The B’s sputtered once again without Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron, as they dropped a 4-2 decision to the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night. To pour some salt in the wound, the Canadiens lost as well, meaning that Boston once again missed a chance to move into first place of the Northeast Division.

Jaromir Jagr was held scoreless in this game, but for much of the game appeared the best player on the ice. That’s why NESN Nation’s Dan Duquette is awarding him our “Home Stretch Heartbreak” player of the game. Who’s yours?
