On the tail end of playing three games in four days, the Bruins could use a spark, and they may have gotten just that in practice on Friday.

After suffering a mild concussion on March 31, Patrice Bergeron returned to the ice for the Bruins’ optional skate. His play has been desperately missed by the B’s, and his teammates were thrilled to have him back — even if he isn’t quite ready to play just yet.

Claude Julien reiterated that they will take a cautious approach due to his history of concussions, but he noted that Bergeron will travel with the team to Carolina for their matchup with the Hurricanes on Saturday night.
