Red Sox’ Offensive Power Takes Pressure Off Jon Lester As Sox Put Up Numbers In Toronto (Video)


The Red Sox were not short on offense Sunday afternoon as they led a 13-0 rout of the Toronto Blue Jays on their home field. Sox third baseman Will Middlebrooks launched three home runs in the matchup, the youngest Boston player to go deep three times in a game since Jim Rice in 1977.

That offensive power took some pressure off of starting pitcher Jon Lester, who came away with his second win of the season.
