After scoring the game-tying goal with less than a minute remaining in Game 7 against the Maple Leafs, the Bruins’ longest-tenured member completed the miracle comeback in overtime.

Patrice Bergeron beat Toronto goalie James Reimer 6:05 into the extra session to give Boston a 5-4 win on home ice, propelling the B’s into the second round and sending the stunned Leafs squad home. The Bruins trailed 4-1 more than halfway through the third period before scoring the final four goals of the contest, including two with goalie Tuukka Rask pulled for an extra attacker.
