The Rays know who they are, and they know how they are going to win the majority of their games this season. That puts all the more pressure on them to finish Tuesday night’s game on the right note after taking the lead.
Tampa might not score five runs in a game very often this year — despite James Loney‘s renaissance season at first base — so when they can scratch across a couple of crooked numbers, they need it to hold up. After jumping out to a lead against John Lackey and the Red Sox, that’s what they’re hoping for this time around.
