Just when you thought NBC had pulled out all the stops in promoting its Premier League soccer coverage, the U.S. broadcaster added another eye-catching advertisement to its arsenal.
U.K.-style taxis bearing the colors and logos of Premier League teams have been seen on the streets of New York City recently. One side of the cabs tell onlookers to “Keep Calm and Pick” a certain club, while the other side has the same message but boasts about a rival club.
This latest promotion comes on the heels of NBC’s underground campaign in which it dressed N.Y.C. subway cars in the colors of various Premier League teams.
Now that NBC has checked boxes labeled “trains” and “automobiles,” will the broadcast giant decorate planes in the colors of Premier League clubs next? Time will tell.
