Seattle Sounders Fan Gets Tattoo of Clint Dempsey’s Face on Neck (Photo)

U.S. soccer fans are excited about Clint Dempsey‘s return to Major League Soccer, but the enthusiasm of one Seattle Sounders fan has gone too far.

A Sounders fan paid tribute to Dempsey in — wait for it — tattoo form. The tattoo, located on the fan’s neck, appears to be an image of Dempsey’s face and feet. There’s nothing more or less than that.

Dempsey left English soccer club Tottenham Hotspur for Seattle earlier this month in what was one of the most significant transfers in MLS history. More than 40,000 fans saluted him at his unveiling, and his first home game with Seattle is already a sellout.

While the tattooed Sounders fan is stoked to have the U.S. national team captain playing for his favorite team, we have to think that Mr. Potato Head is fuming somewhere.
