Michael Beasley is in trouble with the law again.
Beasley, who has previously been cited for multiple driving offenses and was the subject of a sexual assault investigation last spring, was arrested Tuesday morning for marijuana possession in Scottsdale, Ariz., ArizonaSports.com reports.
This is at least Beasley’s third infraction involving marijuana, not including an incident at rookie camp for which Beasley was not punished.
“According to police, Beasley was stopped [Tuesday] for a traffic violation and as the officer approached the vehicle, he smelled marijuana emanating from within the car,” the story reads. “A search of the driver’s area recovered three joints.”
That account is strikingly similar to a 2011 traffic stop in which a police officer also smelled marijuana coming from the car and found a plastic baggie containing marijuana under a seat. Beasley successfully claimed the marijuana was not his, according to reports, although he was fined.
