Brian Wilson Confronts Larry Baer in Stands, Has Heated Exchange With Giants CEO Over World Series Ring (Video)

Don’t poke the beard.

Brian Wilson and Giants CEO Larry Baer had an interesting exchange following Thursday night’s Giants-Dodgers game as the pitcher made his away across the field to confront Baer over his 2012 World Series ring, according to CSN Bay Area. Things got heated because Wilson is upset he still hasn’t received his bling.

“Just a conversation between me and him,” Wilson said.

Giants vice president Staci Slaughter said Wilson declined an invitation to the ring ceremony this year.  Since then, calls placed to the pitcher for ring arrangements haven’t been returned.

“It’s disappointing. It’s unfortunate. It’s bizarre, really,” Slaughter said. “This organization really has tried to do the right thing, and I don’t know where this is coming from. It wasn’t for a lack of effort on our part. Larry, [vice president] Bobby [Evans] and [manager Bruce] Bochy — everybody has made an effort to reach out to him.”

That’s all she wrote. Well, except for that anticlimactic series against the Houston Astros.
