Carl Yastrzemski played 23 season with the Red Sox, going down as one of the greatest players ever to don the uniform. On Sunday, Yaz was the man of honor at Fenway Park as the Red Sox unveiled a new statue commemorating his stellar career in Boston.

Yaz spoke to a packed crowd outside of Fenway at a special ceremony ahead of Sunday’s game, reminiscing about all the great years he spent with the team. Former teammates  Jim Rice and Dwight Evans were just two of the many in attendance, and they received a warm thanks from Yaz as well.
