Toledo Mud Hens Close Out Last Home Game of Season by Turning Triple Play (Video)

The Toledo Mud Hens wrapped up their final home game of the season in style on Saturday night.

The Detroit Tigers’ Triple-A squad was leading 4-1 in the top of the ninth inning when the tying run came to the plate with runners at first and third and no outs. The situation appeared daunting for the Mud Hens, but with one pitch, the inning was over, and the win was secured.

Ryan Rohlinger of the Columbus Clippers lofted a fly ball to left field for the first out of the frame. The left fielder then fired home in time to get the tagging runner, and catcher Bryan Holaday recovered after applying the diving tag to catch the final baserunner in a rundown.
