Koji Uehara Receives Champagne Shower During Red Sox’ Celebration After Advancing to World Series (Video)

Koji Uehara is partying like the American League Championship Series MVP that he is.

The Red Sox closer was dominant throughout the series against the Tigers, and Game 6 proved to be no different for the energetic reliever. Throughout the ALCS, Uehara recorded three saves in three opportunities, earned one win and struck out nine through six innings of work.

Recording the final three outs of the game, Uehara helped the Red Sox advance to the World Series, and once the celebration on the field made its way into the clubhouse, one of Red Sox’ nation’s favorites was the recipient of a nice, cold champagne shower.
