A late-night pizza run cost Nate Burleson a few weeks of his season. DiGiorno is making sure that doesn’t happen again.

Burleson broke his arm in a car accident last month while trying to save a pizza from falling off the passenger seat in his car. His car was totaled in the crash, and Burleson has been relegated to the sidelines for the Lions’ past five games. So to avoid any more pie-related problems, DiGiorno recently sent Burleson a year’s supply of free pizza and some other pizza essentials.

Burleson, 32, is expected to make his return to the field in the next few weeks, and the Lions could certainly use his help opposite Calvin Johnson on the outside. He was having a standout season before the crash, too, catching 19 passes for 239 yards in three games.

Now, the Lions’ receiver can focus solely on football when he returns, as he doesn’t need to worry about going out to fill his late-night cravings anymore. Check out DiGiorno’s care package below.
