Missouri’s football team pull off an upset when it shocked No. 7 Georgia in Athens, Ga., on Saturday, and one of the university’s biggest sports alums showed his support shortly after the game.

Detroit Tigers pitcher Max Scherzer is a member of the MU hall of Fame and was the Big 12 Pitcher of the Year back in 2005. Very shortly after Scherzer’s Tigers pulled off the upset, the right-hander had a press conference ahead of Game 1 of the ALCS against the Boston Red Sox. Scherzer wore a sweatshirt to the press conference that had the Mizzou-Georgia football score emblazoned on the right side to show his support.
