Ted Williams Vintage 1950s Condoms, Sold Against His Authority, Hit eBay for $99 (Photos)

Teddy Ballgame endorsed a lot of products in his day, but condoms weren’t one of them.

That didn’t stop National Hygienic Products from using his likeness back in the 1950s to sell Champ Prophylactics, though.

The company stole Ted Williams‘ image from a 1954 Topps baseball card and slapped it on their product in the 1950s. Williams never received any royalties and eventually took them to court to stop production, according to the eBay post. No. 9 reportedly signed a package of the condoms in 1994, however.

Check out some photos of the product below, and thanks to Deadspin for the tip.
