Zlatan Ibrahimovic Scores Lightning Bolt Goal to Complete First-Half Hat Trick (GIF)

If it seems like Zlatan Ibrahimovic scores a great goal or two every few days, it’s because, well, that’s what he does.

The Swedish soccer superstar scored another awe-inspiring goal Wednesday in Paris Saint Germain’s UEFA Champions League game against Anderlecht. Actually, Ibrahimovic has already scored four goals in this game, and it’s not yet finished.

But his third goal, which came just 36 minutes into the game, has the soccer world buzzing. The PSG striker cut in from the left side, ran onto a loose ball and ripped a lightning-bolt of a shot past Anderlecht’s helpless goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski from around 35 yards out.

ESPN’s Paul Carr says the shot was going faster than the speed limit in most U.S. states.

On Saturday, “Ibra” scored a scorpion-kick goal, which he rates among the “most beautiful” goals he’s ever scored. It’s a shame to think he may not appear at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Sweden faces Cristiano Ronaldo‘s Portugal in a two-game playoff next month to determine which team advances to next summer’s finals in Brazil.
