Claude Julien Says Senators’ Goal Toward End of First Period ‘Really Hurt Us’

The Bruins almost made it to the first intermission up 2-0 on the Senators, but a turnover in the neutral zone allowed Ottawa to trim the Boston lead to one with only 50 seconds remaining in the opening period.

The late-period tally changed the momentum of the game, and the Senators would go on to score three more unanswered goals to earn a 4-2 victory in the two teams’ first meeting of the season.
