Jarome Iginla Says Leafs May Have Been Talking About Last Year, But B’s Focused on Win Over Division Rival (Video)

While everyone wanted to focus on last year’s incredible Game 7 win, the Bruins were forgetting about the past and worrying instead about their division rival’s spot in the standings.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have gotten off to a hot start this season, threatening as one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference. Ahead of the inconsistent Bruins in the Atlantic Division, Jarome Iginla said that the B’s weren’t stuck on what happened in the postseason between the two teams, but instead, they were setting their sights on getting a huge win over a tough team.

The B’s did just that, defeating the Leafs 3-1 behind two goals from Patrice Bergeron. Iginla himself was only one goal short of a Gordie Howe hat trick, and after the game he talked with NESN’s Jamie Erdahl and dished on what he thought of his team’s effort.
