Tom Brady, Peyton Manning Get Changing Hairstyles Compared in Ghostlike Sports Illustrated Feature (Photo)

NBC is calling it Manning Brady XIV. Football fans are licking their chops as the pass-happy Patriots and Broncos prepare for a Foxboro tilt. Tom Brady’s hand and Peyton Manning’s ankle are getting extra coverage.

There’s no shortage of story lines on Sunday night’s big matchup, and that includes head games that go beyond gridiron strategizing.

Sports Illustrated rolled out a little feature this week that compares Brady and Manning over the years, but it did it in a distinctly lowbrow (low hairline?) manner. The magazine produced an infographic that compares the changing hairstyles of the two future Hall of Famers, which is basically just a way to show that Brady’s hair changes a lot while Manning’s doesn’t. (It’s also a way to make them both look like ghosts.)

It’s hardly the first comparison in the run-up to the game — putting the two side-by-side also has some people thinking angel vs. serial killer.

Sports Illustrated, alas, was not exhaustive in its coverage, as it missed many of Brady’s looks.
