Shawn Thornton‘s 15-game suspension is the longest for any player without a prior history of supplemental discipline by the NHL. The Bruins forward won’t see game action again until Jan. 11 when the B’s take on San Jose, and the length of the suspension came as a surprise to some hockey analysts.
