LeBron James Passes Larry Bird, Gary Payton on NBA All-Time Scoring List With Vicious Windmill Dunk (Video)

As of Friday night, LeBron James is No. 29 on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. James passed Celtics legend Larry Bird on the list during the first quarter of the Heat’s matchup against the Sacramento Kings.

With a little over five minutes left in the first quarter, James received a backwards, no-look pass from Mario Chalmers and — completely uncontested — went in for a vicious windmill dunk to score his 21,792th career point. James continued his career night in the Heat’s 108-101 overtime loss, passing Gary Payton for No. 29 on the NBA all-time list, finishing with 21,819 points.

Seven active players — Vince Carter, Ray Allen, Tim Duncan, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Dirk Nowitzki and Kobe Bryant are ahead of James on the all-time list.
