Peter Frates’ ‘Plunge 4 Pete’ to Strike Out ALS Set for Dec. 28 at Good Harbor Beach

It’s time to plunge.

More than 200 people are expected to “Plunge 4 Pete” on Dec. 28 at Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester, Mass., to raise funds and awareness to Strike Out ALS.

The event is run by Peter Frates, a 28-year-old former Division I college athlete who was the captain of the Boston College baseball team. Frates was recently diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, and has coordinated countless events over the years. But no event is as chilling as this one.

To find out more ways to be “freezin’ 4 a reason,” check out information on the event below.

About the Plunge

We’ll be meeting at Bass Rocks County Club and heading over to Good Harbor Beach to enjoy a nice refreshing December dip to raise awareness for ALS.

Transportation to and from Bass Rocks will be provided. We will have use of the Bass Rocks locker room to warm-up and change as well.

After the Plunge, you are invited to join us at the Bass Rocks Country Club for a Post-Plunge Celebration and Awards Ceremony which includes food, music, cash bar and lots of fun!
