The Twins have had one of the worst starting rotations over the last few years, but with news of the Hughes signing and reports that the team agreed on a four-year, $49 million deal with right-hander Ricky Nolasco, it seems the club has gotten serious about its pitching situation. Hughes struggled to live up to his hype in New York, but it’s possible he could thrive in a market like Minneapolis, where there is significantly less pressure.
In his seven-year career, Hughes has posted a 56-50 record with a 4.54 ERA.
