Report: Wes Welker Cleared for Broncos’ Playoff Action After Missing Three Games With Concussion

The Denver Broncos will have Wes Welker back for the playoffs.

After suffering concussions in Week 10 and Week 13, the wide receiver was sidelined for the final three games of the regular season, but he has been fully cleared just in time for the playoffs, according to The Denver Post’s Mike Klis.

Welker practiced with the team on a limited basis last week and traveled to Oakland with the Broncos on Sunday, but he ultimately was held out of the Week 17 contest. With the Broncos’ win over the Raiders in the regular-season finale, Denver clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC and, more importantly, secured more recovery time for Welker with the first-round bye that comes with it.

Welker made 73 catches for 778 yards and a career-high 10 touchdowns in 13 games this season.
