The Canadiens were trailing 1-0 after the first period in Thursday night’s game against the rival Bruins in Montreal, but they fought back and earned a 2-1 victory with two second-period goals.
The Montreal comeback started with a tally from center Tomas Plekanec at the left faceoff circle that beat Boston goaltender Tuukka Rask from a tough angle. With under three minutes to go in the second frame, Max Pacioretty gave the Canadiens a 2-1 advantage, which they would protect for the remainder of the contest to earn their eighth victory in the last nine games.
