The Maple Leafs were the recipients of a lucky bounce in front of the net, and it led to Toronto taking a 1-0 lead in the first period.

Toronto’s Jake Gardiner got things rolling near the blue line, bringing the puck into the Boston end and firing off a shot toward the net. Gardiner’s blast was off the mark, but his rebound went right to Peter Holland, who was waiting patiently near the net to put the puck past Chad Johnson and get the Leafs on the board.
